Welcome to the forum,
"You" have done ALL the regular maintenance? Are you the original owner? (What "wires" are part of regular maintenence?) Please explain what is "skipping" and why you think "skipping"(and CEL light on) have something to do with the EEC port? Please, it looks like there are some things to think about here, take a deep breath, confront the confusion. Use the force, spankadiddles, ...urr...uhhh...The Forum. FOA: The engine wiring harness is the first place to look. It is a known problem with this car. Of course, you would already know this if you had done a search of the forum before posting your thread. (Not to worry, all of us were forum rookies at one time). If it hasn't been replaced, then that could be causing the problems. I know its hard when your car is not as it should be, but you must realize it is up to you to make it right and this forum is a tool to help you do that. It really doesn't help to get whiny with my car this and my car that if you haven't put some effort into solving the problem. Use the "Search" on this forum (or one of the other forums hosted my Mercedesshop) and you will find TONS of information about almost anything having to do with a Mercedes Benz, information which may help you solve your problems. After SEARCHING/READING this forum(or any of the others), if you still don't have the answers you need, then start a thread and the good folks here will help as best they can. Good Luck, Dan
