Question 1983 380 Sel

Can someone tell me where I can find the filler cap to add/check power steering fluid. I have inherited my father's car and it is making sounds whenever I turn the steering wheel at low speeds or when I first start the car. Sounds go away once the car is warm and I am moving at higher speeds. I assume the fluid may be low and that is why it makes noises until the pressure builds.

I have checked the users manual and looked under the hood but can't seem to locate it??

Wayne, the above is correct - it is very easy to check and fill. I had to figure it out on mine as well.

Do not worry too much about that whine. My 85' 380SE does the same thing until it warms up- its not gotten any worse, but there is supposed to be a filter in there somewhere. I plan on changing mine this spring.

Heck, ALL of the 1980s and 1990s Fords do it (power steering punp whines), but even worse.
