1994 e320 Code 26 Question

Check engine light came on. Using the built-in diagnostic tool, I count 26 flashes. No other codes. Car seems to run fine. I understand this is likely the upshift delay circuit, meaning either the valve, the green vacuum line, or the part on the transmission is faulty. Transmission was rebuilt and has a one year warranty still in effect. Is the transmission part considered part of the rebuilt transmission? Should I go ahead and replace the cheap valve and green hose anyway, see if problem goes away, and only then go after the transmission part? Or ignore problem entirely. Advice please. Car has 120,000 miles on it.
