I recently got the passenger side window stuck all the way down on my 1993 300se. In a moment of pure brilliance I decided to pull the small bit of glass still protruding up with a large set of channel lock pliers. Just when I had gotten the window almost high enough to grip it with my hands,,,, crack. The Entire window shattered. Luckily these are the double pained windows and it stayed intact (you cannot see through it, but it's intact). Upon a recent trip to a dealer I was informed they could do the whole job for the insignificant total of $1,100. Has anyone replaced the window/regulator on this model. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
