TRANSMISSION TROUBLE
1993 MB 300SE
BATTERY WENT DEAD. I JUMPED IT. THE CAR STARTED. THE CAR'S TRANSMISSION SHIFTS SMOOTHLY THROUGH ALL GEARS. IT DOES NOT SHIFT INTO OVERDRIVE AT60 MPH PLUS. WHATS UP |

There is a single-pole electrical connector at the very end of the trans, check it's contact and connection.

Check to make sure that the kick down switch on the floor under the gas pedal is not stuck. To verify, make sure it clicks up and down properly. Also, you can try unplugging it and then going for a drive. If it is sticking or faulty it will prevent a 4th gear shift.
