v12 parts car question

Found a V12 theft recovery car. Ignoring possible damage to the engine from abuse, the interior is trashed. My only interest in the car would be the drive train.

How much of the engine & transmission control circuitry is in the passenger cabin, which has been severly abused.

The car is a W140 chassis?? with a M120.980 engine.. What year?

The 1992-95 cars will require all of the computers & UNDER-hood wiring.

Yep, a W140. All the under the hood stuff is intact. It's the passenger compartment that's trashed. Were the engine management computers under the seats by any chance? -CTH

I'm sure that I'm not the only one here who is now curious. That has to be some pretty severe interior abuse for you to wonder if the modules are under the seats.

Pictures, please!

I live with 50s-70s mercedes exclusively. I'm aware of several car manufacturers that put electronics there because it's convenient. I wasn't sure if mercedes was one of them.

This car has the seats out and all the passenger compartment wiring piled up in a big ball. I haven't seem photos of the entire passenger compartment, but I'm pretty sure it's been stripped bare.

The last V12 I saw as a stripped theft recovery had only the block left under the hood. Heads, intake & exhaust manifolds as well as all wiring and sundries went with the interior.

I was amazed to see how small a diameter the V12 pistons are, and surprised how narrow the V is.
