Has anyone used the autozone rental spring compressor?

I need to rebuild my lower control arm as a final step in my new front end. Has anyone used this before? They work out OK?

We rent a proper spring compressor in the DIY resources section of the website.

Why risk killing yourself?

I tried theirs once, didn;t work, their compressor bent before it compressed the spring much..

Took itback got my deposit and never tried again.

I recently bought an mb spring compressor on ebay not original like klann, but it is a copy of the klann, worked good for me and only cost me $200. I figured the one or 2 times I use it will be worth it to me.

I also bought a fender roller just to roll my fenders, it did cost me $200.00 as well, and I havent even used it yet, but when I finally do it will be considered worth it to me. though I probably could get the fenders rolled for that much, I figured why not, I like tools.

Yes, I rented one last year to replace the struts in my 99 Mercury Villager. No problems at all.
