Bought this car from a little old lady who lived in Ohio.
Mint condition all the records, great shape. Did my first break job on her this weekend only to discover the rear brake assembly was completely eaten alive with rust. (salt from the roads in Ohio not doubt) Was able to clean the disk brake calipers and replaced the disc but the parking brake assembly was totally and completely shot. Will need to replace the parking cables and parking brake assembly on both right and left rear. Has anyone out there does this before? Do I have to pull the Axle? How do you get that big cable off of the back of the brake assembly? Anybody, anybody? |

I have done this...You can get the cables out after you remove the shoes and the expander from the cable.
