Hesitancy - CLK
Very peculiar problem. Took the 2004 CLK to the dealer with 2 complaints. SRS light on and hesitancy in accelerating after a long slowdown to a stop. The tach never goes to below idle, but it can take as much as 1 to 2 seconds before the gas pedal responds.
So, they corrected the SRS light, stating it was due to a loose wire in the seat back. They tested everything and could find no problem with the electronics for the hesitancy. Nor could they reproduce the problem. I drove the car for one week. No SRS light. No hesitancy. After one week the SRS light came on and the car started to hesitate again. Got any ideas? |

Find out if the SRS light is being caused by the same code as before. If so, they messed up. There are several DTB's concerning SRS issues on the newer MB's.
Concerning the hesitation, ask your dealer to update the software of the engine control module. |
