Power steering leak

Really enjoy your forum, thanks.

Well, I have isolated a p/s leak at the high pressure connection to the pump. Seems to leak more after a long drive.

Thought I might try to tighten the connection but do not want to over-tighten or break anything.

Do I need to replace the entire hose section?

Thanks for any help or suggestions,
James

Is there any rubber in the connection - like an o-ring - that can be replaced? Perhaps a couple wraps with teflon tape would help. I'd hate to see you overtighten it and lose the threads.

If it comes to servicing the hose, there are many places that can repair hydraulic hoses, including replacing the threaded end, and it wouldn't cost much.
