C280 not feelin so well:confused:

Hello everyone ,
I have two challenges. First the hoses, long plastic ones that bake and break..lol,) under the long top cap on the engine have broken off at the angle. I ordered "vacuum hoses" and when I recieved them they were just 90 degree angles. Where can I can the "inbetween" pieces. I need to replace all four hoses. OK PartII .... I have an oil leak. I checked under the car( took it to a mech, put it on the lift) and saw nothing there. We noticed that there was some oil splattered around the alternator. The leak is coming from above.. where.. I do not know and he said I'd have to leave it with him for a few hours. OK... I don't mind that but I'd like to know if anyone has an idea of just where this leak may be coming from? Any help would be greatly appreciated ,

Thank You,
Quincelady
PS:When I park the car I notice oil on the floor the next day. Not alot but more than enuff!

What year is the car? If its an M104 engine, the above posts have good advice.

Yikes Head Gasket!

I forgot to mention the year...1996. Well that jobs sounds like a hand full and mucho dinero..grrrr. I will take it to my mechanic and see what he says too. I did notice some leak around the front of the engine. Perhaps the job is just to replace the seal there? Anyway, thanks so much for your quick reply

Yes, headgasket and front timing cover leaks on the M104 is a very common thing. Other than that, it is a great engine.

Red face Hello Again

I have ordered some parts, IE: Spark plugs, fuel filter, front ball joints, thermostat, to have installed on the car. I order some vacuum hoses because they had become brittle and broken off. I got 90 degree vacuum connectors. I need the lines. Does anyone know exacly what I am talking about . It's those thin hoses(4) under the plastic cover on top of the engine. They are clear plastic. I don't know exactly where to find them. Any help would be appreciated .

Thank You Kindly,
Quincelady

Dealer will have the plastic hoses or a foreign car parts store may have them in bulk lengths.
