are the speedo's dated??reason i ask is my car shows it had odometer problems back in the late 90's,but the miles that were on then and whats on it now just do'nt jive.i'm thinking they put a different speedo altogether in it and the miles were higher on it.i know my old chevy has a date code stamped on the back, are these??

Answer

If it was replaced correctly by law:
#1. The change must be reported to the government.
#2. The exact reason for the change must be documented.
#3. The title must reflect unknown mileage.

Have a great day.

well as i said the numbers just don't seem right,if the car got a new speedo, for yrs 97-02 it would have had to have averaged over 30,000 miles a year.but if it had a new speedo and it was rolled ahead to close to actual miles then it doesn't seem to unreal, but my guess is it got a different speedo and it had more miles so they had no choice but to leave em on there.thats why i asked if they were dated.
