1994 s350 headlight no low beams

Hi there I have a 1994 s350 high beams work but when I select low beam I get nothing. Bulbs and all 4 headlight fuses good and if I put power to low beam fuses the low beams come on so wiring from fuses to lights must be good. I am guessing it's the dimmer switch on the column. Is it a common failure or do any of you had other problems with no low beams.
