Can I use the same parts from my 82 300sd in my 83 300d? my 300sd is dead, i have a extra engine and all the extra parts for the 300sd, alot of new parts, before i buy a 300d i just want to make sure i can use the same parts.

I have the 83 300SD and a 80 300D.
Not exactly the same situation.
But... As far as the 617 engine, I see a lot of stuff the same.
I used same motor mounts and oil filter and fuel filters.
Same brake pads too.

What kind of stuff (parts) are you talking about ?

Generally speaking a lot of stuff will work on both.

i have everything in the 300sd, i have new interior, 2 motors, 1 tranny, doors w/ motor/regulator and glass, i still have to gut the car and have it towed..i guess i will sell the parts that i don't need on here and on ebay

i am pretty sure the window regulators are different in the 126.

i have a similar situation here. i am running two 126 cars but i have a slew of 123 parts in stock. so every time i need somehting i call and ask if it is the same as on the 123 and many surprisingly minor parts dont interchange.

but many do too. just not body parts.

alright, well if you need any 126 parts let me know, i probably won't have room for everything when i gut my car out, i have 2 engines and a tranny in the garage already from it.

Not really, maybe a few things. Pull the part in queston and compare to whats in the W123.
