w203 manual transmision
My daughter is thinking about buying a 2002 c230 coupe with manual transmission. I've seen some comments here about how bad the MB manual transmissions are but no specifics. We haven't actually driven on yet, maybe this weekend. My question is, what's causing the negative comments?
Thanks, Dan

I frequent a couple of german M-B forums ( where probably 75 % of the members drive manual transmission cars ) and have yet so see any negative comments , other than leisurely shifting required.

That's good to know, thanks. I'm looking forward to trying one as I've never driven an MB clutch-and-go before.

45,000 miles on mine and no problems. Shifts great!

I think that would be a topic for Mythbusters.
I can't tell the difference.
