'95 c220 power windows
need help! The front power windows have stopped working. I checked the fuse, it was blown, I replaced it and it blew too.
I need next steps to fix, it is the switch(s) or motor, or some other issue... |

The power windows are computer controlled..computer is in trunk by the spare tire..switch sends signal to computer & it generates power & ground to window motors
WHEN does the fuse blow?? When operating a certain window?

I spilled a Diet Coke on my window control buttons and got it almost instantly cleaned up. But enough leaked into the driver door window that I had to pay to have it cleaned, and it wasn't perfect. So I started, every now and then, slowly cleaning the button with those little pre-soaked alcohol pads. Mind you, they are not soaked but they've got some liquid in them. And for some reason, the tiny bit of alcohol that is getting into the button must be breaking down the Diet Coke, since the button is now working -- better. Almost the same as it was pre-disaster. If you spilled something consider this. The pads are sold at the drug store near the pharmacy.
