Another stupid question for the road
It seems I need a new headlamp for my 1987 300 E and i removed the sliding plastic cover and tried to twist out the bulb, it wont budge. Now it was a little dark and i will get a better look tommorow but am i missing a screw or something (no pun intended). Thanks.

you are attacking the wrong end.
try from inside the engine compartment. it twists out. couldnt be easier. no tools required at all. oh and be careful not to touch the lense of the bulb. the oils from your hand,i am advised will cause it to break. tom w
