Hi. Just wanted to say it was a pleasure meeting everyone Friday night. It is nice to put a face with those ppl behind the computers that are giving me such great advice. I enjoyed it and look forward to more meetings.

Hey! Just got back from College Station (soccer camp). It was a nice GTG nonetheless, meeting new faces (fpilot), despite low turnout and Sonny Bryan's lack of friendliness (I'm a fire hazard, btw).

Back to the reality of wrenching on the MBs...especially the now-defunct W124...

Yes, it was great seeing everyone and meeting Marla (FPilot.)

Everyone needs to know that not only is G-Benz a fire hazard, but is also suspect of drinking under age. Now that I said that, everyone should know the inside joke so they don't get the wrong idea about G-Benz. The people at the restaurant made a big deal about his pulling up a chair at the end of the table being a fire hazard. THEN they asked him for ID when he ordered a brew, which I thought was a complement, as I expect that he is in his thirties.

All in all it was a really good crew. We got to see Marla's gorgeous SL with the top down and in a very pleasant setting in the Dallas West End. We got a new look at Lizems 300E which still looks fabulous even with over 300,000 miles. We also got to play with the top on G-Benz wifes new CLK cabriolet.

Sonny Bryans has always worked for us in the past because they were very flexible. As others said, they were downright inhospitable this time. Next time will DEFINITELY be elsewhere. Start coming up with suggestions so we will be ready.

I look forward to next time.

Well, FWIW, I noticed there was a steakhouse directly across the street from Sonny Bryans.

Almost 50?

You look at least 10 years younger. I'm 38, and I would've guessed that you are pretty close to my age.
