how to read trouble codes

hello everyone, when i just got on i was reading about someone having trouble with door locks.one of the answers was by someone explaining how to read codes. i then log in to ask him something and lost wherethe threads were. went to search cant find the one , my question is , when i first opened the forum , where was i , i have loged out and treid again to no avail . i know it should be easy , thanks
