SRS Clearification

91 300SE (126) I had to remove the passenger airbag to get at the AC servos. Found the disconnected vacuum hose, reconnected the battery and started to car to make sure they all were working correctly. Of course that set off the SRS light. Battery is disconnected again, will finish putting it all back together tonight.

About the SRS light, I've called the 3 dealers in my local area. One says I will need to have it reset, the second said it will reset itself, the third said he couldn't remember because he doesn't get alot of work on older models.

Anybody know the correct answer? If it does need to be reset, is it DIY or do I have to take it to someone with a reader of some sort?

Yes it has to be reset, can be done by anyone with a code reader.
Your SRS light will go out after 2mins to show a non critical fault stored and the system is still operational; but will come on for 2 mins after each restart, and should be reset as soon as possible.

Re:SRS Light

Thanks for the reply Shandy.
Started it up last night. Key on normal light indications, started right up lights went off. Drove to work this morning, normal lights pre start, nothing after the start. This car is pre OBDII, guess it reset itself.
