which platinum bosch plug for 280e?
i thought i saw a post re proper plug for the 280e but when searching couldnt find it.
autozone sold me platinum 4220 plugs. the threads are only about 3/4" long. they look too short to me. am i remembering wrong? tom w

The consensus here is copper plugs for all MBs of that vintage. There's not a lot of M110 discussion in general but I'm pretty sure the copper plug 'rule' applies.

look in the "Last page" of your owners manual.
if you've misplaced your manual, new ones (reprints) can be ordered through MB classic center.

Apparently the previous poster didn't have the last page so here goes: Beru 14-7D, Bosch W 7 D, Beru 175/14/3 A, Bosch W 175 T 30, Champion N9Y.

of course all those numbers are for conventional plugs. i suppose i can do a bosch search and try to find an interchange table. my first reaction was that the threads on the plug were too short. tom w
