My mechanic is stumped!

’93 Bonneville SE. 88K, very good shape over all. Recently had the right front wheel bearing replaced by my long time and trusted mechanic. After getting the car back I noticed an intermittent “light” banging sound when making turns. Assumed a bad bearing but not the case.

I can feel the thump/soft bang through the floorboard of the driver side. Only happens in a turn. Also can occasionally hear it while turning the wheels while stationary on the lift. Can't isolate it. Any ideas?
