Swap W210 A/C Condenser into W126 ???
In my quest to improve the performance of the professionally-retrofitted R134A system in my 85 380SE, I may attempt to swap my condenser with the condenser from a W210 (which I have on hand). The A/C system on the W210 (1997 E320) was of course R134A so I'm guessing it is more efficiently tuned to work with that refrigerant than the existing W126 condenser which was designed for R12.
Is my thinking flawed? Will this work? Has anyone tried it? If the plumbing doesn't quite match up, any suggestions for modification? TIA
