crushing coolant hose

on a 1994 E320 wagon, i get see THIS [huge pict]at the end of everyday. car isnt overheating, or otherwise acting up. whats going on? it cant be normal.

also, what are those electrical connections on the waterpump? my 94 E420 dosent have them.
