Throttle Linkage Adjustment 1986 560SL
I found the correct procedure in my Engine manual for adjusting the throttle linkage, however there is one inconsistancy in the write up that I am hoping someone can clarify. My engine manual is a 1991 publication MBNA/MBC S 2466 000
In the text the proceedure specifies a length of 100mm for the rod leading from the forward relay (what I call a bell crank) and going down to the throttle body. Then they present a table that list this length to be 104 mm.
Does anyone know which is the correct value. A source of your information would also be appriciated as incorect adjustments of this linkage has caused a stuck WOT condition when I first got the car. 100mm does seem to be working fine for the moment.
