1982 500 Sel Amg, Can't Find Parts

I Can't Find Parts Because No One Has A Listing For That Car. Perhaps A Vin Code Could Tell Me, But I Can Only Find Out That It Was Made In Germany And That Says It Was Built In 79 And Is Gas And Has Seat Belts. Did Amg Do Anything To The Engines In Those Cars ?
If Not Then I'll Just Change The Engine, But It Seemed Very Fast When I Drove It Home Running On A Few Cylinders Due To Blown Head Gaskets. Does Anyone Know How I Can Find Out More About This Car?
It Says Amg On The Steering Wheel And Has Amg Wheels But Thats The Only Indication I Can Find.
