2000 C280 A/C Pressure Questions

As its been real hot here in NYC the AC on my 2000 C280 (240,000.00 Miles) has quit on me. Hooked up guages to read the high and low side of the system as the compressor is turning just no cold air. The readings are

Low Side = 45 PSI
High Side = 115 PSI (seems low)
Ambient Temp 91 deg

Can some one please point me in a direction here as I dont want to change parts willy nilly. Does the above indicate a compressor problem or a blockage?

Money is always an issue? MB wants to charge over 3 k to repair. I need to offset some of this cost. If I need to replace parts I can do this and leave the flushing and vacuming to a service shop.

Thanks in Advance

Rob
