'88 300SEL fenders and doors fit '89 560SEL?

I found a wrecked 88 300SEL not afr from me, the fenders and doors were not impacted by the crash. I have a 1989 560SEl with rust on the front fenders and crumpled sections on my right 2 doors.

Can I interchange the body parts between these 2 vehicles since they are both W126's? How about the interior?

As long as both are SEL's then ALL of those body parts should interchange..

The front seats will but the 560SEL has electric adjustable "folding" rear seat

Thanks Doc...

Forgot about the rear seat - Dang! I never liked my Palomino interior, and my front driver's seat is shot. The 88 300SEL has a nice grey leather interior in mint condition, the car only had 58k miles on her when she got hit, owner took real good care of the car.

Bumpers, hood, trunk all destroyed. Fenders, doors, interior fine.

I'll probably take her for the metal and the interior trim panels. Of course, I just paid $550 for a new climate control button assembly 6 weeks ago, I bet the one in this wreck is perfect. Oh well.

If I buy it I'll part out whatever I don't use here on ShopForum.

You might not be able to swap the rear seat as is but you might be able to swap skins. The leather comes off the front seats pretty easily. I imagine it's not much different for the rear seat. It's just a matter of figuring out how the skin is held to the seat.
