Thumbs up diagnistic scanner

I have 1995 W140.
Which is the best not expensive diagnostic scanner for this car?
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you.

Arthur Dalton's led tool will work - you just have to find pins small enough to fit into the 38-pin adapter. I have heard of people usign Coaxial cable (like the stuff for your TV) as the center is about the right diameter.

The male pins on my leads fit perfectly into the female pins of the 38 pin diagnostic connector...

You could build this tool:

And use the leads that pcmacher posted.

I also build and sell the tool along with the code descriptions and instructions - see the eBay link in my signature.
