BASS ASR light

I bought new tail lights for my 1998 E320. i installed them and they fit nicely but there was only one problem. The brake light sockets+bulbs didn't fit in correctly on the new housing. While the car was on, I had my friend tap the breaks while I tried to fix one side. I soon got that side to be in the right place. Then I went to the other side and all of the brake lights just turned off and the BASS ASR light turned on.

I have been trying to get an explanation for this and it seems to be quite hard. I would really appreicate any immediate responses. Thanks

Nate

Maybe it's the fuse? I tried looking for the fuse for the tail lights and found none. Where is it located and what would it be listed as on the paper?

Probably the brake light switch, need to check faults and actual values to confirm.

The fuses for lights (except maybe stop lights) are in the fuse box behind the light switch in the door ja accesible with the door open by a removable cover that form a portion of the end of the dash.
