Water leak

Hello - I just acquired a 1987 300CD. When it rains, I get a significant amount of water in the trunk. It doesnt appear that there is a leak in the seal. From what I can see, the water appears to be coming in elsewhere. Could there be a plugged drain somewhere, perhaps as part of the ventilation system, and if so, where would I find it?

Thanks in advance.

Bud

I'm not familiar with your trunk construction details, as mine is an 85 380SE, but after resealing the window with silicone (which wasn't the problem), I pulled the taillight housings and siliconed them. Problem solved, in about an hour.
