Changing differential & coolant in 1997 E420?

car - 1997 E420

i'll be doing engine oil, ATF, differential, coolant, cabin filters, air filter and a new wiper. thanks to the fantastic DIY articles on engine oil & ATF changes, those will be fine. But i couldn't find any articles on diff fluid & coolant changes. Are these straightforward? 2 plugs in the differential and a petcock for the coolant? if there are any special precautions i should take plz let me know. what sockets are required to access all the plugs? thanks!

Differential drain & filler plugs are 14mm allen..make sure that you have that socket before you start.

diff draining

make sure that you loosen the upper diff drain plug first.they are both tight and if the fill won't loosen you are in trouble.

Coolant,

Make sure the engine is cold. Drain through the petcock and open the "radiator" cap to aid in draining. I pre-mix my coolant (50/50) with distilled water.
