Then I can say for sure after recently looking into one for my friends W210 that there are only 3 parts available. You can get the guts, the glass, the outside, or the whole thing. The guts are what you need and MB lists them for $402. Of course thats list at the dealer, so you should be able to do a lot better. The only chance of you getting the couple parts you needs is if you come across a wrecked W140 where you can scavange the needed parts. Other then that finding a used mirror is your best option. Removel is not tricky I am 90% sure the glass unclips and the rest is a combo of clips with maybe a few screws. But I havn't messed with one in awhile.

You know something? You bought a S-class, not a Chevette so "pay the tax" as the Harley guys say. |

the same as for the W210, but there are different versions for with or without memory. http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb2.asp?TP=1&F=140032&M=104%2E990++++++994&GA=722%2E368371%2C502508%2C605&GM=717%2E454&CT=F&cat=19B&SID=72&SGR=175&SGN=06 I have also a mirror (driver side), with broken hinge. Not as bad as your, so mine stays put, but will have to be slightly lifted when coming from a folded state. I tried to remove the whole assembly. Got that done with removing the three screws that attaches the mirror to the door accessed from the outside. Removing the cover is more difficult, but you should see a long wire inside that catches the cover to the assembly. There are two places where that wire will have to be "dissconnected" with a long screwdriver, and the cover sliding off, avoiding the mirror by adjust the angle with the button inside the car. No special tools. Try that or get back to me, and I can perhaps take some images. BTW, I tried to glue the metal with epoxy, but it broke again right away... br, syljua
