My 280 Just Turned 600 000 K

Hello to you all, i am the proud owner of a euro 1979 280s w116, yesterday on my way home the car turned 600 000km. I bought the car new in 1979, it was serviced by the dealeship up untill 60 000km, from there i did the servicing myself. oil and filter changes every 5000km, plugs and air filter every 15000km. The engine was never openened and no work was on it, exept an thermastat and waterpump at 488000km.

the car uses about a 1 liter of oil every 800km, the car doesnt smoke, but obnly on startup there is a puff of blue smoke and also after prolonged idle.( valve guides?)

car still goes very nice, exept for fuel economy, i get about 6km to the liter in city traffic, is this normal?

If I do the conversions properly...
6km = 3.728 miles
1ltr = .264 gallons

This returns 14.12 mpg in a S-class sedan with 372,000 miles in city traffic. Sounds about right to me.
