AC and idle

Hi Guys

I have been having this intermittent problem with the idle (in P and D) when the AC compressor kicks in and out. It seems that the ICV does not respond fast enough and the engine speed dips too low when AC engages and spikes up when AC disengages. Then it recovers almost immediately.

I have taken the ICV out to clean and test. It seems to open and close properly on the bench. I have cleaned the plug to the compressor too. I hate to buy a new (and expensive!) ICV if its not the culprit. My OVP seems OK. Any comments or ideas?
