easiest way to check all hoses for leaks? any treatments to prolong their life? M119
I want to make sure all the air/vacuum/breather hoses on my M119 engine are intact. is the easiest way to get a can of carb cleaner and spray all along the hoses while the car is running?
also, are there any products to prolong the life of the hoses? thanks

Hoses ?
Suction hoses tested with a "Mighty Vac" or equivalent.(do a "Search"...model
specific) Fuel lines ---visual inspection. Engine coolant system/cabin heat/oil cooler... pressure test with anti-freeze pressure tester. Depending on the chemical composition of the individual hoses (nitrile , Etc.) [Good luck on getting that information without a LOT of research]. There may or may not be any life expectancy extender. |

Whatever you decide to use on the rubber, do NOT use anything with silicone it it. That could get into the wrong places and contaminate (ruin $$$) your O2 sensors.
