Vibration through floorboard.
Had the winter wheels re-balanced this week, after experiencing a slight steeringwheel vibration.
THAT vibration is gone now, but I experience a tingling vibration through the floorboards. This starts at @ 65 mph & continues up to about 75 - 80 mph. It's enough to make your feet numb after a while. Any suggestions from the vibration experts?

Did they cure the steering wheel vibration by rotating tires front to back?

Pretty sure it is not a wheel/tire issue. I was thinking maybe driveshaft related or something of that nature.

I would check the flex discs on the drive shaft, but i'm not sure that would be speed related usually you would feel that all the time. I would still check those though.

Did a visual inspection on them.
The rear disc looks 100%, the front is a little harder to determine. Maybe I'll just replace the front one, as I understand, that is normally the one to need replacing first.

I had a similar issue with my 95 wagon. It turned out to be a slightly out of round wheel on the back. That might be the case even though the balancing machine says the wheels are in good balance. Try flipping the rears with the fronts and see if the floor board vibration goes away... and the vibration is felt in the steering wheel.

Thanks Dale.
Sounds like I'll have to get-down & dirty.

Put some lead on it
That's the MB approach - weight it down until it can't move.

Problem solved.
Cause: Front Flexdisc.
