Need Advice on Radiator Issue ASAP!!
 

I have tried just about everything to keep my 190E from overheating. The thermostat,sensor,fan clutch,etc. so...
I called the Mercedes dealer. The service advisor told me it is more than likely the radiator. He said to get it up to normal operating temp and shut it off. Then, place my hand on the center of the radiator and see if it is noticably cooler than the outter area of it. He said if it is, it is clogged.
This seems to be the case. I just wanted to get some input/advice anyone has before purchasing the new radiator this morning and any other hints would also be welcome!!

If you have good coolant flow, then the radiator should be too hot to touch everywhere. When you replace the radiator, replace the hoses as well.

your radiator is made of plastic and aluminum.as it ages[7-10yrs]the plastic gets brittle and breaks but more importantly the aluminium shrinks and won't flow enough water.replace it with a behr[oem].

Michael, order a new Behr radiator online. That will be the most economical way to go. As mentioned already, replace the radiator hoses while you're at it.

had most of those radiators on sale for almost the same as the Fastlane price. Depends on how much of a hurry you are in, I guess.
