Power Seats Failure

1999 C280, 95K miles.

The power seats in both passenger and driver are failing to move after car startup. I only regain control after 15-30 minutes of driving. I checked the battery voltage hours after driving and had 13.6V. I checked the voltage a day after driving, early morning, 12.4-13V was the range.

I also checked the fuse box in the front of the car, but I failed to find any problems. I am dumbfounded because the power seats will work after some time, since if it would have seized altogether, I could have checked the motors, and etc.

I havent idled the car for 30 minutes to see if that will make the seats work, but I assume it will since I have idled for 10-15 minutes and then after a couple of minutes of driving the power seats work again as opposed to the 15-30 minutes of driving.

Thanks for the help.

Welcome to the forum. You will find the search feature is a powerful tool on this site. I searched on "C280 seats" and found this thread which likely contains the information you are looking for.

'98 C280 Power seat problems

I am fairly certain of this since I had the same problem and many others have as you will see when you read the thread!

Good luck!
