99 w210 trunk won't unlock

The trunk lock screwed up somehow. The trunk was frozen shut but I could still here the click at the trunk latch. After a couple of trys the normal clicking sound went away. Now just silence when I push the unlock button. The key and the button don't do anything except roll the windows down and unlock the rest of the door locks. The trunk is no longer frozen. Is there a manual release?

Try giving it a good pull upwards. Sometimes the gasket gets so sticky or frozen the trunk unlocks but doesn't open and is just stuck...then the lock is unlocked but the trunk is closed. See if this allows it to open and then relock with closed. Otherwise I would check fuses next.
