interminant starting

I have a problem with a 190E 1987 2.6 gas engine. The vehicle starts-no
problem; will run for a while and when I stop at a light it will die out and
I will be unable to start it. When the engine cools down it will re-start.
Had to various repair shops and was told there was no problem. Anybody
have any ideal or has had this problem? Thanks, Shack

On the newer Mercedes engines a simular problem is caused by a failing Crank Position Sensor (CPS). Very common problem that leaves no codes. My 2 cents.
