2001 M-B C-240 how do I check trani level after putiing in rebuilt engine

Hi I just rebuilt the engine and put in car and know I lost some trani fluid but tried to lift the black plastic that I beleive checks the trani oil level but could not take it out.The dip stick is right next to an oil dipistick which is only 5 inches long when taken out.I thought I read that the trani oil is sealed in and can not be taken out or in.

go to the DIY section tab on the top of this page and read about the 722.6 trans fluid change. you'll need the dip stick like TOOL.

Also do a search I think Mercedes dealers also have a computer that connnects in to chk fluid level.
