Question 1995 W140 Trunk Light

Hi could somebody please tell me where the trunk light swich is located and how you access it.

It's like a pin inside the left side of the trunk door.

Hi juan had a good look around the trunk lid couldn't find the striker you describe
Thanks anyway for answering maybe someone else will know.

I think the switch is part of the latch mechanism.

Open the trunk, and look at the sill where the latching pin mates to latch the trunk.

Now - on the inside of that sill, facing the front of the car, you should find a little yellow lever. It rotates upward to turn off the trunk lights. Doing so also causes the lid handle to retract and the pull down to withdraw.

Thanks for your help it worked to turn off the light.
I wanted to leave the trunk open so I could hook up a cteck charger
which will keep the battery charged as I don't use the car everyday.
