1991 190E 2.6 that will not start
Help needed,
Have a 1991 190E 2.6 that will not start. In the recent past there hav been a few times when I had to crank the car several times befor it would crank. Now it turns over but will not start. I am getting good spark and fuel to the fuel distributor but I do not think any fuel is getting past this point. I removed a couple of the injector lines and no fuel is present. Any suggestions? |
check out the fuel pump relay behind the battery.there are two relays back there .the first is the a/c and the back one is the fuel pump.pull it out and use a pce of bare wire to join pins 30 and 87 and plug it back in.

There were four units behind the battery. Two were rather large so I don't believe they were fuel pump relays. The third one was a MAS unit, the fourth one was a small relay with a 10 amp fuse on top and corresponding numbers that you were talking about. Problem is there is a number 30, a number 30 A, and also a 87 E, and 87L. Which two should I run the wire between? Thanks for any help you can give.

Thank you David Poole for your help you were right on the money. The MAS control unit was bad. Now all I need to do is find a control unit at a fair price.Again thanks
