We would like to know the answer to the V6/IL-6 question posted.
That would tell the tale..

The picture in the eautopartscatalog is the right picture. It looks like the one on my benz. #47 is different from that picture. #47 is the one AZ sold me. Look closely and you will see the difference. The catalog sensor has a different electrical connection than that on #47. I may be checking in with you guys later when / if the CEL comes on again. It probably will, and, when it does, I'll get the diagnostic check again to see if the same code comes up. If it does I'll order the part from this site.

Thanks again for all of your help.

My E320 is an inline, and the picture in the catalog is the right sensor.

Thank You for the answer .

If you have a Tech answer a post and he ask back a question, there is good reason.

The AZ guys story about the years on the E320 are incorrect . So we just wanted to verify the year by asking which engine ..
..as you can now see , the one years difference makes all the difference in the sensors, along with the type engine ..and the 104 has two sensors ..early and late , as you noticed on the connectors.

Isn't the dealer that M.B.DOC works at located in Atlanta?

You could certainly do worse that taking your car there.
