				Purge Valve & EGR...Am I screwed?

Hey Guys, I had a problem with my EGR and MAS. Well I bought brand new MAS and changed it - that fixed it. Then I changed the EGR valve as well. Now I am getting the purge valve error code? ? ? PO 441 Here is what I have done: I could not get the EGR line cleaned (yes it was that stuffed), so I decided to bypass it with one that I created. Well, everything worked well untill I had to bolt it on to the intake side, where it connects with 2 bolt. One of them broke while I was truing to bolt it in... obviously I could not test it with only one bolt, so I decided to shut down the intake manifold opening (close it with a metal pin), and it did stay in place pretty well. On the other end, (EGR end), I left the line hanging and to spill exhaust gases in the athmosphere. Do you honestly think that I may be getting the PO 441 code because of what I have done??? I checked the Purge valve and it it working (Clicks). You can almost hear it clicking. I really do not know what will I do if this is causing it to throw that code... With the space being so limited at the intake manifold, where I snapped the bold, there is no way I can remove it...I did try it, but unfortunately it is cut pretty short (I tried to get a unt and tighten it) Please, help!!! I have to pass emissions test soon, and my light is ON... I do not understand why would it matter for the Purge valve if there is no connection between the EGR and the intake manifold, but who knows...
