Contact info needed on I-95 in VA and NC

I'm going to check an '88 560SL on Friday and am about 75% sure that I'll get it and drive it home on Saturday. Driving down I-95 from DC to about Fayetteville, NC. I'd love to have some contacts or shops along the way just in case of problems. The car will be getting a PPI, but it also has been little used in the past five years or so, so who knows how it will handle this exercise? My wife will be following in a second car and I'll have my AAA card with me, but I would like to know where to have the car taken should I need it.

Feel free to contact me off line if you prefer.

Thanks.

Len

My folks drove their 300TE down 95 from NY to FL & in Fayetteville the radiator started to leak.

They were towed to an MB dealership in Fayetteville, NC for service.

SO if it helps there is an MB service shop right there where you will be.

They fixed the leak, did a flush and checked the rest of the belts & hoses for them.

I think that the MB dealership in Fayetteville should be open at least part time on saturday, but I'm not sure. Haven't been there in a while, but my mom bought her E420 from them, and had them religiously service it while she had it, so I know that they do good work. They are just pretty expensive.
Good Luck and God Bless,
Dave.

I knew if I was over prepared that I wouldn't need help and that's exactly what happened. Made it back home safe and sound today. Bought the 560SL in DC and drove it home to the Wilmington/Myrtle Beach area. No major issues.

Thanks again for your suggestions.

Car is currently immobile waiting on things like filters, tires, etc. These two are the best I can do right now.
