Did you ever find a rebuilder for the EZL unit? I have 1987 560SL with symptoms of faulty EXL... no start condition. Was starting from complete cold, then stalling when reaching operating temp. It would then restart after sitting for hours and completely cold again. I now have a no start condition.... period.

I had that with my 300-24. It was a Bremi rotor arm. Replaced it with the 19 year old original and all was well. Replaced that with a new MB rotor.

I suppose the "no start" could indicate dead EZL but I've never had that. As discussed in PMs, get a spare!!!
