500sec heat sporadic

the heat will work fine til i get the car up to speed on the highway, then it starts blowing cold air.

my indie says it seems to be losing the signal to the hot water valve.

any smart ideas?

Two things come to mind. The first would be a bad Monovalve. The second would be a bad thermostat.

the mono valve needs power to close,so unplug it and go driving.if the heat stays on,then the push buttons are at fault.if it behaves as before then the diaphram in the mono valve probably has issues.

you can remove the top of the monovalve to check the diaphragm without taking the whole valve out of the car. A bad monovalve will show all sorts of wacky symptoms.
