89 300TE Fuel Tank Issues?
Make a long story short, I replaced both fuel pumps and the car ran great for a couple of weeks. Then one afternoon the engine started to starve for fuel, the engine died, upon restart the pump under pass rear seat sounded loud. I jumped the fuel pump relay and then the car would run and die. So the rear pump seems to be starving for fuel, when I open the cap there is positive pressure, and I have verified the correct voltage at both pumps. I removed the tank thinking there might be trash stopping up the main feed hose to the first fuel pump. Is there a check valve in the bottom of the tank, or am I missing something? I suspect the tank, but are they an issue with these wagons? Thnx

Thanks for the reply, but a fuel sample does me no good since I stated that I removed the tank from the car...I got plenty of fuel samples lol... The tank is now empty, the fuel coming out wasn't bad or filled with junk...
